cap ship dissapeared
Ok cap ship was in game for a bit, tried to make it to giera O-4.
It got stuck in a storm in Geira Rutilus M-10
When it jumped out of the storm at
[03/16/05 20:10:12] ffff00*SMV Nemesis jumped to Geira Rutilus System, Sector O-4
it just dissapeared. Someone said it exploded the minute it made it into O-4 because it hit a roid on the way out of M-10, but i didnt see that myself.
I copy/pasted the line from the errors.log so that you would hav ethe timestamp
On a related note it also appears to have attempted to dock in Geira Rutilus L-15 when it was damaged. a bunch of us hit it with a whole lot of repairgun rounds and it went on its merry way. either that or it was unable to plot a course around the station.

that's hilarious.
glad we could amuse you andy... now perhaps you could fix it so that its not piloted by a suicidal maniac with the pathfinding abilities of a 100 year old blind man having seizures. :)
it did explode as or soon after it jumoed into O-4, i saw it explode just as i left the station there.
and it's "docking" attempt was one of the strangest things i've ever seen a ship do.

A little close, but that's the only shot I have of that.

when it did that I got hit by it bouncing, warned by the traffic controller, nemesis bounced again, I got hit, I got killed by the escorts.
:/

Other randomness... I bumped the cap ship (I'm Serco BTW) at, oh, 100m/s in a damaged hog. Okay yea, so I wanted to see if I could get it moving... and the thing just went up. Fireworks, floating debris, all that jazz.
Normally when a serco hits a serco, the guy doing the hitting gets damaged, and the guy getting hit doesn't. Apparently not in the case of the Nemesis. I got notified to cease fire (I was firing?), the cap ship blew up, and I was unscathed. hmm...

Very interesting. The second incarnation of Mr. Nemesis died right after it jumped too.
Of course, I doubt my presence inside it's docking bay thingy at the time of the jump was the cause.

Yeah, I had some similar problems with the escorts trying to kill me Crippled Pidgeon. I was taking screenshots, got too close, the thing nosed around, hit me, and all the escorts just took after me for life, (I left the sector, came back, and they still tried to kill me.) I think bumping should not count as violation unless it is of a severe magnitude and obviously intentional. You ask how the game decides intentional? The force of the blow. Anything over what, 30 mps is considered an attack. How's it sound?
"Oops. My tab key locked again." *thud*
That did actually happen to me once, but fortunately the victim was a little more forgiving than the Nemesis would be.
