License increase in-station bug
Submitted this just now, searched forum but couldn't find anything on it.
I sold some cargo to my home station and the resulting trade xp increase gave me a higher license. Upon attempting to buy a new ship for which I'm now eligible for, it would not allow me to. I met all requirements for the ship, but it still thought I was at the previous license level.
Upon leaving the station and re-docking immediately thereafter, the ship was properly available to me and I purchased it without a problem.
I'm not sure if this applies to weapons or other items or not as this increase didn't make me eligible for anything special there.

There's a command to reset the station so that it recognizes the change in your licenses, but I can't remember what it was atm...
its /updatestation
you can also undock/redock.

Ya, this one is known and the /updatestation is a bandaid for it at the moment. It'll probably be fixed next time they have to touch that portion of the code.
for some reason .. maybe its because its 1 in the morning the phrase "touch that portion of the code" sounds dirty.. its like you're saying "next time they get 'in the mood' and begin to fondle the station code in a soft but loving way.. they'll touch its naughty spot and hope that the post-effect will clear up any problems that are occuring due to its pubesence." Maybe its because its 1 in the morning.. and we all know the devs have such intimate knowledge of the code.
I think A1k0n's got it down to where you can ask him what a specific line of code has on it and he can recite it by memory.
wouldn't a simple bandaid in the code be to call the /updatestation code when you recieve a new level? because if you're not in a station.. it just fails silently... right? well... thats my rant/suggestion. Horribly inefficient.. yes.. bandaid on a missing limb.. not quite.

I usually molest code instead of just touching it. ;)
anyways, I fixed it so the station autoupdates when you get a license increase. Still need to test it though.

Are you kidding? It usually takes me about a half hour to find the code I'm looking for, especially if it's code in the client, where Ray was kind enough to name a bunch of files (I'm not kidding here) game1.cpp, game2.cpp, game3.cpp, and game4.cpp.

ROTFL!
At least they aren't known as project.cc project.2.cc project.3.cc ... 36.cc
All crosslinked in strange includes as deviced by some IDE that was long since abandoned.
I want to do a code refraction, but it'd take me a month ;p

Darnit a1k0n, you've ruined my fantasy. I was starting to think that the extensions of every file in Vendetta were .lua.
