3000meters out isn really 3000meters out
This has happened twice in sedina D-14, I'll be flying out to 3000meters in my ship, i'll plot a corse, it'll SAY i'm 3000 out, I press activate and.....nothing. I plot a corse to the same sector(as in no course) and it says i'm already at my destination. No matter where I set a course, I won't warp. I than went allllll the way out. And pressed activate and nothing, mind you there is no way i'm not 3000meters out, I can see the whole roid field. So, I log out in space, log back in and...WHATS THIS??!?! i'm only 868(or a number aroundf 860)meters out?!? This is very annoying, but more confusing. Whats going on here, i logged out and back in within 30 seconds if that, so it's not like someone went on my char and moved the ship. Anybody else experne this.
I'm not sure if they are the same bug, so FM don't lock this unless a dev sees this as being the same bug.
this sounds like a lag issue, almost like the lsat time your computer and the server updated one another was at 868m. i have this happen once in a while.
what i want to know is why when my connection times out i end up over 10k away from the station or from a wh, but when i log out and back in i end up a lot closer to a station or wh? just a thought. :)

My ping was fine, I had no lag. It's just very odd.
This just happened to me, as well. I used the same workaround (log out, back in). Luckily I had read this thread not 10 minutes before, or I wouldn't have had the foggiest idea what was happening.
it has happened to me as well. ive found that simply clearing your course and then setting it again solves it. so it could just be a problem with setting routes in the nav menu
when this happens try talking in some chat. If you've lost your connection to the server it may take a while to figure it out, and you're ping doesn't change.
