so there i was, warped in, strike force warp trails twinkling
in the distance.
i put in a navcourse to evade them. i ran to 3000m. the aernas
were on my butt, closing closing....
i hit 'jump'... it says
"YOU ARE ALREADY AT YOUR DESTINATION"
NO IM NOT @#$(@#*$@()#$*@)#($*@)#($
i keep hitting jump over and over
nothing.
3 seconds later i die in a hail of gunfire.

And you're sure you put in the navroute? I find that human error is usually to blame for this sort of thing.
it was there in all its glowy green glory
Perhaps you were holding down shift? There's a bug going around where if you set your first navpoint while holding shift and don't add any more navpoints, it thinks you're at your destination.

(edit: hmm, I can't find where they said it had to do with holding down shift. But somebody said it, somewhere)

no, i had at least 2 or 3 destination points in there.
i was trying to escape by doing multiple jumps quickly thru
empty sectors.

were you clicking in the system that you are in, or were you trying to click in a system that you were in, or that you were planning on going to? Did you click on the sector that you're in currently?
Guys, ananzi is right. I had the same problem (repeatedly, actually). I had a course selected, but it refused to jump. Right after that I turned invisible. Ananzi, you missed out on a great opportunity here ... ;)
It happens sometimes to me as well. Usually replotting a course is enough to solve the issue.
Ditto Sun Tzu, though I've had to remap a couple of times for it to take.
I've found that if i press shift+click to plot the FIRST waypoint, this occurs. if i click the first waypoint normally then add additional waypoints with shift+click this never happens.
I still can't reproduce this bug.
I start out with no navpoints set, and then shift-click some. That works fine.
I start with none and then click one and then shift-click more. That works fine.
Do I need to log in with no waypoints defined?
If you find that you can't jump to your next waypoint, can you log out and back in and then it will magically work? If it still doesn't work, can you send me your config.ini file (or submit a bugreport using the bug reporter program, not the web bug form)?

I know Ive had this happen a time or two to me. Im not sure what causes it. Never really paying attention when it happens. Anyway if you go back and replot your course it seems to work just fine.
I've set a waypoint on the other side of the wormhole, then in my system to other destinations. When you jump, make sure those two destination arrows are in the right place.
You might be looking in the wrong direction, raybondo. I think this is a server synchronization problem. My (preceived) position differs from where the server thinks I am. When I get this big, I also have strange lag and sometimes I go invisible (happend now twice).
But, replotting the course makes it work and the server has nothing to do with navcourses. It's all client-side.
This happened to me once the other night. I think replotting fixed it for me too. Thankfully, I wasn't under attack at the time.
happens to me. replotting fixes it.
(I wonder if the sector you're in is automatically selected as a route when you warp to the other side of a warp hole?)
I think it happens at warp holes, I'm not sure.

I think the devs should look into these bugs as a whole. As in, I think they're all caused by some small desyncing lag. Clones, invisibility, bad jumps, unable to jump or dock, and in my case, getting ion storm graphics in station sectors.
Same bug here.
If it's client side is on the vendetta application client side.
Reploting solves the problem.
But if we need to run away from something and it still happens that could be bad.
Doesn't happen all the times so it can't be reproduced by following a set of procedures.

i can't reproduce this bug either.
it has only happened about 3 times that i can remember.
