Whats the syntax for using the Alt or Ctrl keys in binds?
Yoda, what kind of Cherry do you own? I own three G80-5000, and they let me do pretty much whatever when it comes to keys. the same is true for a Fujitsu-Siemens KBPC E that I occasionally use.
even an el cheapo Logitech one I just tested works fine. hm.

I also bought a PS2 DualShock 2 controller and a USB Converter (cuz when yoda mentioned it, I thought I'd try it out. The only thing I don't like about it is the DualShock's joystick dead zones and its sensitivity. But I suppose if I played using it a lot more, I'd get used to it.
I've got a logitech mouse that I always thought had too many buttons... not any more. I've got my vertical strafe bound to the little back and forth buttons on the side, incremental zoom on the mouse wheel, FA toggle on the mouse wheel button!
So, the most buttons I'm ever pressing on my keyboard are 2 (horizontal strafe and roll). As far as turbo goes, once you hit turbo your locked into one direction anyway, you can't strafe... so you only need the roll button.
And I have a Apple Pro keyboard that has some very strange limitations....
Gavan wonders if that was a redundant post.

well after a bit of experimentation let me just say that my original post is slightly off.
first of all, the new keyboard does in fact let me press three buttons at once, they are just a different three buttons than the old one.
so...
i can do a q and w, on the old keyboard, but not w e r.
but on the new keyboard, i can do w e r, but not a q w.
it is a funny funny thing. these PCs were never made for
games, the gunk of the original 1981 IBM PC design
seems to still seep through and bite us 15 years later.
