Waste Handling Bot/Spy Mission
Ok.. soooo:
I was quite happy that the 1 minute bug got fixed, because right now this is the only mission that is still somewhat interesting, and I would like to know what spy missions lay byond it. That said....
I must have tried this mission over ten times last night. First couple of times were my own problem, I chose to do it in grey space, and ended up fighting two Tycorps, a couple of Valent's, something else, AND ten dirty little Dentek Collectors.
So after going back to Divinia, and fighting just Denteks and Oruns, I noticed these two bugs/problems:
1. My autoaim crosshairs stop working properly after killing the first malfunctioning bot. It just centres on the bot, no matter how much I'm twirling or strafing, nor how far away I am.
And most importantly....
2. The Denteks swarm up... they get completely bunched up to the point where, when you blow up one of the malfunctioning bots, the waste bot takes an iota of splash damage and thats it! You fail. I must have tried this eight times... with the same outcome everytime time. I could not get the bots to unbunch. No matter how much I tried flying around them, turboing out, flying through them... etc. etc...
Neway... unless someone can point out something I'm obviously doing wrong, then I think this is a bit tough for one of the early missions. Even if the waste bot could take just a little damage, before it blew its load. It would make it a little more reasonable.

There is a bug with the cursor target.
happen when you have an empty spot selected in the weapon group.
so when you use this weapon group the cursor do not work.

wonder what is the rewards. (if this mission is useless)
Could you post your exact rewards please?
i have did the serco spy mission 1.
it was easy and i won +250 trade
i tried the spy mission 2 (anomalous materials) in grey space.
it s very hard and i failed.
- when you leave the sector = mission failed
- if you are lucky you will able to accomplish the mission. because when you kill a bot it explode and the splash could hit the anomalous bot = mission failed.

i managed to complete this mission, but yeah, it's pretty hard. i had to fly away a bunch to get the bots to un-cluster. using heavy weapons helps, too, since you kill the targeted bot faster before the others get too close.
the failure upon leaving the sector seems unnecessary, since you've already got the 30 minute deadline. the first time i tried it, i forgot the destination sector (the mission computer was no help), went back to the station, and instantly failed. all the spy missions seem to be like this.

Mission computer helps now.
The next recon/spy mission is worth it, I got 100k a few nights ago selling the cargo I got from it...

that mission is hard, but possible (waste handling bots). But I think the rewards are bugged. +600/+600/0/0/0. Only light weapons, and no heavy(?). And yes I used a L port weapon to check it.
Same goes for the next 2 in the sequence, hostage (600/600/0) and weirdo (800/800/0).

Waste handling bots I just failed twice in a row because the bot damaged itself before I even got close enough to start scanning. Not fun.
