It seems that people who says "Swarms are easy to dodge" are basically saying "Swarms are easy to dodge if I am just dodging, not trying to kill the swarmer."
Oh I can dodge swarms all day : trick the guy to swarm me at 50-100m, then run in circles. I can dodge a bunch of em, 2,3 4. But, try also to kill the swarmer while dodging : it's insanely hard...especailly when they use swarms like rockets and swarm you in your face while you are (a) busy dodging the 2 other swarms (b) trying to approach to kill.
If you say, sure, let them fire off their swarms and then approach to kill. Well, tell ya : they'll run before they do that. I won't name names, but that happen to me enough times that I stopped using this tactic. And I don't blame them for running if they are out of ammo. If this is what you want VO to be, where the safest tactic is to warp in, swarm, and then run, then I have nothing more to say.
My suggestion is to make swarms's a contact missile, instead of proximity missiles. (Incarnate mentioned somewhere that swarms are uber because they fixed the homing code, and now they are much more effective. )

If it's contact, then 15 seconds or even more would be alright. Contact homers are pretty... useless. 20m prox is huuuggeee.
I agree with the kid.
I was able during the old era to dodge and kill people when it only had a 5m prox. Near the end I was even able to do so in a heavy ship.
However when it got upgraded to 10m it became practically impossible in a heavy ship.
So maybe get the normal swarms back to contact and 20 secs timeout
and get the chaos ones to 5m prox and 15s duration.
Although Im sure that swarms will then be considered to be unusuable on their own. But we will see

Swarms were altered in the latest update, please try them again and post in Suggestions if necessary.
