if you take a cargo mission where the cargo will not fit into your hold, so you decide to reject it, you have no way of giving the cargo back as it's ALL got to be in your hold for you to give it back. if it's split between station and ship or all in station, it should be able to take it, and not give you the "you don't have the cargo with you" statement.

The cargo missions that ask for cargo should be able to accept parts of the delivery.

i know that, but for those impatient soles, like me who would rather quit the mission than make 2 trips, you have no way of giving the cargo back and quitting the mission without buying a larger ship and putting it all in the hold.. overlooked? feature to annoy me? sorry :)

actually there are some missions as you get to higher trade levels where it is impossible to get a hold big enough. (you try to fit 19 phase arrays into one of the ships currently in game to abort the mission)
