Please fix the bugs re transports jumping below 3000m or far from a storm exit point. They are really annoying.
Yup, the devs are aware of this. Bot pathfinding and AI is tricky business, but they do want it sorted out so that it works properly.
I lost today 400 standing for defending the convoy outside the 3000m ring around the station when it left Bractus C5. From this day forward I will no longer defend CTC. Its just pointless with the current faction system. A Serco can kill the convoy, grab the cargo and there isn't a damn thing I can do about it. Thats just uber lame.
Well, i lost 900 (!) standing points on Saturday defending the convoy in Jallik. Ok, shooting a serco who has good itani standing in monitored space is not the smartest thing to do. However, shooting a serco who repeatedly said on channel 100 she was after our transport is probably what you are supposed to do in CTC, isn't it?
That leads me to the other issue: while rebuilding my standing, i realised that three or four sessions of botting stupid tycorps brought me far more faction standing points than one week of CTC... Maybe it is another "bug" to fix...

hmm. only 900? :)
And really, did you -see- said person attacking your convoy?

Wow! SAF teaching lessons about unprovoked attacks?
Don't pull all members up, just as I don't accuse all IDF of being camping asshats with valks that should be shot on sight.
We don't enforce behaviour controlling programming on members, even if you'd want us to.
Personally, I'd gladly cap you, preferrably when you aren't aware. I'm sure Icarus would as well, I'm also putting a penny that you haven't been unprovocedly attacked by either Lin or Ruby. Right? :-)
For my part, your existance is provocation enough.

Ok, another CTC bug it seems :)
Not necessarily. If somone tells you they are going to attack something, and you decides to pre-empt, and kill them...
Does that mean they did anything or not? I usually don't hang in public channels, so I don't get provoked in that sense. However, if you just go kill somone with a positive rep who's said they are going to do it, you fell for a disinformation attack. Ie, you were tricked.

Sun: if you lost 900 points of reputation by killing a serco inside itani space, it is HIGHLY unlikely that serco was going to attack the convoy inside monitored itani space. (it causes a huge faction loss, or at least it's supposed to) For the amount of time it takes to build that faction up, its really not worth the effort.
As to the reputation gained by delivering convoy cargo, it used to be higher. The result, a UIT could kill a nations convoy, deliver the goods to that nation, and gain a lot of reputation for it. As a result the reputation gain was lowered to be less than that of the loss for killing a transport. The other solution would be to drastically raise the penalty for killing a cargo transport in unmonitored space. (i'm actually not against this, making a transport death worth -75 reputation would allow each cargo to be worth 1 reputation point or so when delivered)
EDIT: oh yea and heres a real convoy bug. The other day when attacking the itani convoy, it had a milinar transport in it. OK, transport, in the convoy = priority target; right. WRONG. It was an escort? As i got close to it it turned around and shot at me, when it died it had only ishik ore on it. Now I'm all for having a few decoy transports, but maybe we could wait until the convoys are behaving correctly and not doing a 30 second run between first jump and third jump. (both convoys do this, itani seems to do it more often from checking the timestamps in the errors.log file.)

No one seems to have mentioned the rather obvious bug that the round from last week hasn't ended yet....
Its not a bug! ITS A FEATURE!
A short update on the transport's warping/jumping bug:
I followed several itani transports yesterday. They all jumped at 3000 m after a reasonable time. Most of them went to the exit point in ion storms.
But one of them did jump at 3000m in an ion storm and far from the exit point (Jallik system, no hostile players, only a couple of NPC traders in the same sector - if that may help the devs).

Everyone gets a different exit point in an ion storm.
