Giant black gaps in space?!
Hi,
I just started up Vendetta and launched out of a station, when I found a peculiar graphical glitch. I've uploaded some screenshots:

Has anyone else seen this? I think it should probably be fixed.
Thanks,
- I
EDIT: Oh yeah, and I'm running Linux, with all max details, 1024x768 resolution and an nvidia Geforce FX5900 with the latest drivers.

I get that when I mess with windowed mode and part of the window is off-screen when the sector loads.
It also happens if another program overlays the window during sector loading. Like xOSD..
I never saw it in full-screen mode, but my WM doesn't let me switch desktops in full-screen mode, so I stay in maximized windowed mode.
(It kinda shows one of the inner workings of their engine - hex-shaped background polygons...)
EDIT: It's almost like part of the textures get cropped when they're loaded.. Dunno how that relates to having part of the window off-screen, though..

we had a similar problem in OS X shortly before the release. the post is here:

raybondo said we should try this to fix it:
"Edit your config.ini file (located inside your Vendetta bundle) and look for the do_compiledvertexarrays=1 and change it to 0."
the solution worked for us, so i would imagine it is worth a try for you too.

I had the same thing, but I was able to fix it just by messing with the video/graphic settings under the game's Options
This bug should be fixed in this update (1.1.3)
