Can't connect
Sixty seconds after the log in screen, my connection to the server times out. This happens with or without the firewalls (one on my mac, one on my hybrid wireless/ethernet cable modem (orion 3000)) active. I'm running 10.2.8 on my 867 g4 and I get the same result on my dual 1.8 G5 (10.3.5) when I tried it there. Both computers hook up directly through ethernet. The ISP is Road Runner.
My account is listed as Subscriber and I haven't applied a pre-order or retail code since Gamestop hasn't sent either to me yet.
I can't play at all.

More info:
I quickly hit create new character, entered a name and chose UIT and hit create and it made my character. I had to do this in less than ten seconds, anymore and it wouldn't work.
If I do the same quick clicking, I can hit the select button next to my new character and get to the loading screen. Nine times out of ten the load bar will freeze part way through the loading and remain frozen until the connection to the server timed out message. One out of ten I can get to the Entering Station message before the connection times out.
So, I can connect. It just shuts down quickly.
Any ideas?

That's a pretty complete bug report, thanks.
Are you running ANY other apps when you run Vendetta?
What video card(s) are you using, and have you obtained the latest drivers?

No other apps are running when I launch Vendetta. The video cards are the stock geforce 4 mx on the 867 g4 and a geforce 5200fx on the dual 1.8 G5. They're running the latest drivers availible for them, the g4 drivers being older due to running 10.2.8. The G5 drivers are up-to date, I just installed 10.3.6 last night.
I was able to monkey click (fast click) through the station interface and get in game very briefly once on the G5(before it timed out).

Hmm, very strange. It sounds like UDP traffic is not properly kept alive in the cablemodem. I did a little searching; this guy has the same problem with the Orion 3000:

Maybe there's some way you can convince the thing to keep the UDP connection alive (by port forwarding or whatever). The game connects to server.vendetta-online.com UDP port 21141.

Thanks for the additional information, I'll check it out some more.
Here's some additional info:
With port 21141 forwarded, it doesn't work.
With NAT disabled on my cable modem, it works.
The unfortunate side effect of disabling NAT is I now have one IP address and multiple computers vying for it. So NAT was turned back on.
Are there ANY other ports that need to be opened other than 21141? Is that just UDP or does TCP/IP need to opened on that port as well? Any other ideas?
