Simple... go to Dau G-2, open up map window when inside. Map area will overlap chat screen when chat screen is maximized.

I got this same thing, altough I thought it happened no matter what sector I was in. I will have to login again in a little while and confirm that. Yeah, the sector map is not disappearing when you maximize the chat window, the chat dialog scrolls behind it.

This happens no matter where, in station or not.
