Cargo price not updating
minor bug
I sold 71 Consumer Electronics in Arta C. C-4. Saving 1 to check the price drop. The [sell] tab showed an increase in price. Loaded the remaining one, the cargo screen showed the expected drop. Finally got the right price by taking it out and re-docking.

It takes some time for the station to refresh. Not sure if it counts as a bug or a feature, but you can stock widgets at a station (as in >100) and then sell them all at once to get the same price without the drop.
I guess that would model a situation where someone floods the economy with a product. It takes a little bit for prices to go down as a result of the new supply.

I don't think you quite caught my meaning. This isn't about the dynamic economy. Yes, I had sold the 71 all at once, that's how you want to do it if you're selling widgets for profit.
This was a problem with the station refresh. Even though the proper (adjusted) price was shown in the cargo tab, it was not updated in the [sell] tab until that widget was brought back into the station.

oops. My mistake, sorry :/
Try typing /updatestation in the console if this happens again. It should force the update.
Old engineers' joke: "It's supposed to be automatic, but actually you have to push this button."
(and new players are not going to know about /updatestation)
I'd say this is a little more relevant now with the altered cargo capacity. And something else: on one occasion today, loading the cargo back into the ship did not update the price in the [cargo] tab.

Mariner i had noticed the same but just thought one had to wait a full minute b4 the price changed.
Hmm. I really don't understand what you're talking about.
The price widgets sell for appears in 2 locations, the "sell" tab (for widgets in storage) and the "cargo" tab for widgets on board your ship.
Mariner is saying, I believe, that after dumping a number of widgets on the market, the selling price for widgets in the "cargo" tab did not go down unless he left and re-entered the station with the remaining widget. As a matter of fact, he is saying that the selling price actually went up in the "sell" tab (in-station storage).
Does that sum it up, Mariner?

The value of a widget drops when said widgets are sold.
The new value is not displayed until the player manually executes a /updatestation or re-enters the station
Does this only happen on the Mac client?
erp! I can't believe this thread has gotten this long for such a simple thing.
My apologies for the lack of clarity.
