If you are typing a message whilst in space, leave it up (half-way finished or just not entered) and dock at a station, the text stays over the stations graphics and cannot be removed until you launch. When you do launch, it is as if you are still typing that message.

If goes away when you hit "escape" on relaunch, but it will overlay on the station screen, and not go away, the entire time you're inside.
