I sent a bug report for a different thing.

This time, I successfully spied on the CEO.
Message: "Good job. You found the CEO. Get to a station to report back."
I do. As soon as I leave a sector, though I warped right back to the station that gave me the mission:
"You left before we got what we need."

second: this happened to me the other day.

Just got this bug in Initros. Grabbed the Spy mission from the station in O-12, told me to fly to B-12, which I did. Found the CEO with the scanner, and got a message saying Good Job. You found the CEO. I fly back to the station (encountered a couple of storms on the way), and then I get told I left before the data they needed was obtained...

Same with me in Arto Caelestis. 2 missions in a row to different sectors from same station. I found the CEO, was told to head back, but told I left before I got the information. Happens as soon as I activate the in-system warp.

As to the Espionage Missions...if you did not return with 4 ham on ryes for the corporate officers, then you left before the data they needed was obtained.
