Terrorist Bot mission bug
I'm a Serco with enough Itani standing to dock and get that mission. When I try to scan/kill the terrorist bots, the defbots kill me for violating the no-fire zone. I die, so does ALL the bots. Apparently when I die, the dirty bomb goes off. Cool. So I get some free cargo also. Double cool.
... and once the mission is over, some bots remain, but disappear if you shoot at them.
And one more: if some other weirdo kills the dirty bomb bot, I explode. That sucks.
It does suck... I flew into Odia (went to the Corvus Capitol), got lynched by some NPC "pirate" Vults, so killed a couple of 'em, goto dock and BLAM! Everyone dies from apparently nothing.. just exploded.. It turns out someone had shot the "bombz" char or something?!?! This could turn into a real pain in the ass as people could home in that station and keep triggering the "dirty bomb" just to annoy others when they try to dock...
I don't like dying, but I especially don't like it when I get killed via some cheap trick... (this wreaks of the insta-nuke scenerio we had with rags, l.mines and avalons)...

Indeed it suxx... Aiming at a Terrorist without bomb. Bomberman moves into the way - BANG. That suxx.
Placing the terrorists together with pirates in one sector isn't a good idea either. Having 5 Terrorists in front, two sentry's coming from back. That suxx.
If i have 30 minutes then it should be possible to repair at the station and come back. But it isn't? That suxx.
It seems that i doesn't have a chance against them anyway. I suck. That suxx. :)

I had fun and no problems so far, i like the mission.
I agree with Agy, it's a fun mission... you just have to be a little more judicious than usual in your shooting ;)
However, I *can* see an enormous potential for abuse from other players, particularly once the stress test begins. Perhaps relegating this mission to an out of the way, empty sector would help solve the problem?

I wouldn't have minded if I was doing (or knew anything about) the frikkin mission, but the fact is I just flew into Odia to get some equipment from Corvus, and ended up getting killed in some uber lame way while i was going for the dock...
Anyway, why are these bots right next to the Corvus capitol station? You would think the station and the Kraz def bots may have something to say about getting bombed every few minutes...

I've never seen the bomb, does it have the old avalon animation? Because that would be cool, if it did the damage and had the appearance of the avalon. Only maybe in yellow because it's a dirty bomb.
Rogue... there was no big explosion, no animation... nothing.. you just die... This is what makes it even more frustrating.
Please note that these missions were (or at least this is what i heard from a dev) supposed to be in some empty sector. But they were not supposed to be with this version so they were buggy for us. So unless you are in that sector in some system you shouldent have a problem, the "insta nuke" wont have any real use other than to make that user lose their ship.
Yes, there's the old avalon explosion, except it's really big. But if you're caught in it you won't necessarily see it.
Anyway, this mission no longer happens in a sector with a station. Most of the stations in the game should now have the updated version of the mission, which tell you where you can find your terrorists in the mission description.
edit: Odia M-14 doesn't have the updated mission because the IRC bot camps there and I haven't forced the sector to restart.

it would be nice if you could get where they are out side of the mission (like have it msged to you in the tab as well after you select the mission).
Yes. Yes, it would.
Just kick the bot off. It'll reconnect.
