Well, i submitted a bug report on the ship spinning one, but i want to know if anyone else has ever seen these bugs recently, or if it's just me.

1) There's a bug that i encounter everytime I play vendetta, it doesn't happen when I log on, just randomly. My ship just starts spinning out of control for 5-15 seconds and there's no way to stop it other than waiting it out.

2) Invisible bots, In s17, I have seen a couple bots or things that can be targeted, but they have no description, and there's nothing there....just red boxes around nothing. Quite weird.

3) Random f.o.v changes. This just recently occured where while i'm undocking, my field of view is completely warped as if i did the "/set fov 200" command. It's easily fixable, yet annoying.

That's about it for now, has anyone else encountered these bugs or is it just me?

1) the 'out-of-control' bug has been around for a very long time. I've never heard of being able to wait it out though...I've always had to log off/on.

Do you have a joystick plugged in? or do you use the mouse or keyboard to spin your ship?

The next time that happens, switch to arcade mode if you are in physics mode and see if that helps.

If it's the same bug as mine, he can't do that. The one I've had completely locks controls, to the point where you can't even use ctrl+alt+del. Once the lockup wears off, everything you pressed while it was locked up registers instantly... Which makes for... fun... -.-

raybondo i don't hvae a joystick, i just use a keyboard and mouse. I'll try arcade mode next time. Although i have tried switching views which doesn't help at all if that matters. I don't think the graphics card would do it either because this thing only acted up after the release of 3.4.

Can you do anything at all, like chat or toggle your HUD on/off.
Can you mouse-look or is it locked to the orientation of the ship?

I could't even chat...it was like the keyboard went dead. I had to hit the power button on my iMac.

Nope, *everything* locks up. The only thing to do is wait it out or rip the power cable out of the computer... I've had things where I've been strafing up, shooting constantly at nothing because the bug happened...

Actually for me I can do everything normally, just while spinning at an amazingly fast rate so everything is obscured.

the spinning bug? i checked ping during the phenomenon, and it was at 160000+, then it slowly went back to normal.
it seems that it's an incredible lagspike, although i know neither what causes it nor how to find out what is causing it.

This spinning bug has happened often to me. I've been able to get out of it a few times by pressing the key several times - it's like the key gets stuck (but it isn't physically stuck, brand new keyboard). I don't use a mouse or a joystick, only a keyboard.

The Other thing I've had happen (rarely) that seems much the same is the "fire off all your missiles" which happens to me occassionally - this one can be very embarrassing, especially if people are near and someone happens to be targeted. If I reload in the station, all my missiles will fly as soon as I leave the station..

The missile problem has only happened a couple times.

I occasinally loose all my missiles as well, they just fire as if the primary fire button was depressed. i'ce found that tapping the fire button again usually stops it. Its like vendetta isn't registering the button release the first time. hmm maybe it's doing hte same thing on the controls.

I have had this problem before, but not recently. The console always worked, and even if it didn't, it can't trap CTRL+ALT+<whatever>, so i can do a system halt, or restart my X server, or switch to a vc and kill Vendetta. I've always just been able to /logoff though.

yea. yesterday, when I was dueling, I've suddenly been stuck in "straf right" "straf left" and traveled sideways for quite a bit. pressing the straf key that seems to be "stuck" (but not physically stuck on the keyboard) fixes it.

Folks, when you are discussing a different bug than the thread began with, please start a new thread. It's easier for the devs to find and is more likely to attract a player (or dev) who knows a fix. Thanks.
