Ok, I'm about 290 km away from the s7 wh in s40. The sector map at the bottom of the screen (between the radars) is gone. I logged off, and on again, and the problem persists. It was there when I started on my journey, and Vendetta was minimized, so I don't know when exactly it occured. Is the reason it disappeared simply because I pressed a key accidentally?

There are no sector maps in sector 40-46.

Bah!

That was the one thing i forgot to ask him in-game :D
