I had a trade mission to deliver a datapad from sector 1 to sector 12, and as I was crossing through sector 8 I got killed by the assault bots. I returned from sector 3 and picked up my cargo and docked at station 12. The mission computer messaged me with the usual "job well done", but when I looked in my cargo, the datapad was still there. Thinking that this was strange, I sold it anyway and tried to launch, only to find out that my battery was missing!

Those darned dock workers stole my battery, thinking it was the datapad I was supposed to deliver!

Or maybe they just stole it and ran, forgetting the data-pad in the process!
When I had a mission with a data-pad, it was from s5 to s12. About halfway through s12 I decided to see if I could drop the data-pad or not, and hit j. To my surprise, the thing fell down, so I went back and picked it up. However, when I docked, the mission computer didn't recognize as me having a data-pad at all, so I ended up selling the data-pad, and knocking down my vorpal robotics rating to 78%.

I had a trade mission in s13 where they stole the datapad THEY gave me. I was told that I was given a datapad, when lo and behold nothing appeared in my inventory. I had no choice but to abort it and the faction just got pissed at me for losing it. Go figure.

Heh, uhm, damn. Ok, apparently keeping track of items in the current fashion isn't going to work. I'll add that to my to-do list.

Had a mission in s7 where I had to get widgets from s5 and drop it off at s12. After getting the s5 widgets, I head to s12 station. I get a message saying that the cargo needs to be delivered in s7. I go to s7 station. I get a message saying that the cargo needs to be delivered to s12. I fly back to s12 and I can finally sell the dumb cargo. No bonus was given, obviously. Is the mission computer acting retarded on purpose?

And the mission before that, I took an s7 mission where I had to pick up cargo from s5 and deliver it back to s7. Again, it gave me the cargo but it took it away the moment I undocked. The good ol' bait and switch technique. I refused to pay the loss of the cargo, which didn't exactly give me a happy standing for the thief that stole my cargo. I guess he was expecting some type of magic trick?

And lastly... getting absolutely nothing from levels 2 and 3 commerce levels isn't exactly something that would encourage trading. I noticed one of the combat upgrades offered me a medium engine. Perhaps move all those engines and batteries (and trade ships) over to commerce exclusively. Combat would be weapons and fighters/bombers. Just something to consider.

Hey, stat 12 never gave me the purified water crates that 11 said they would give me, and I was at 11 before I realized I didn't have them, then went back forth three more times trying to remember what I was sent for :<
