Did that ever happen to anyone else? Looks a bit like those pics of s0 :).
Happens sometimes when the server or my connection dies and I relog in. When I jump to a another sector everythings back to normal.
Though this one I got after the game crashed during login :/
Geforce2 mx
Linux 2.6
NVDIA driver ver. 5336
XFree 4.99.1

Umm.. cool. That _is_ sector 0's background, but, obviously, in sector 7.
It's a client bug in the presence of less-than-optimal network conditions. I'll check to see if that's fixed for 3.4. All the known crash-on-login bugs are fixed for 3.4, at least.

I never realized the skyboxes had such a noticable effect on the coloring of the roids and stations.
They control lighting as well as the background. In 7, for instance, everything has a faint orange glow reflected from the planet.
a1k0n, how come weapons fire doesn't give off dynamic lighting? If the skyboxes can, how come the guns can't?
that would be cool, you know like if an avalon went by a station, giving it a bright blue glow?
Maybe put that in Suggestions. I'd like to keep Bugs "pure", just bugs and fixes.

Heh, someday we'll add more dynamic lighting. It's just not a very high priority. Shadows are another item like that.
