So, this appears to be a fairly widespread issue, on the Google Play side? Way beyond just our game, it pops up all over the 'net with many different apps and services.

We are not able to reproduce any issue on our own Android 8.0 device.

1) Do you have two Google accounts associated with your device? If it uses the wrong one, this can result.

2) If not, try doing the following to resolve the issue:

1. Open the "Google Play" app and press the home button to return

2. Go to Settings → Applications → Manage Applications

3. Select the "ALL" tab, Search for "Google Play Store" and press it to open.

4. Press "Force stop"

5. Press "Clear cache"

6. Press "Clear Data"

7. Now Open Play Store and it will work normally.

If the above steps does not help then try the following as well:

1. Go to Settings → Applications → Manage Applications

2. Select the "ALL" tab, Search for "Google Services Framework" and press it to open.

3. Press "Force stop"

4. Press "Clear cache"

5. Press "Clear Data"

cool ill try that next time.. its happened before, and no i dont have multiple play store ids, its generally when i cancel one recurring payment and login to another character on vendetta on a whole other vendetta account and try to initiate a payment there (not to say thats what causes it, thats just what i happen to be doing when encounter the problem)

last time it resolved itself within a couple hours, this time around its been days. i figure ill stick with the website anyway from here on in it was just a matter of convenience at the time.

appreciate you offering troubleshooting tips.

Well, that works out then. Billing through the website is preferable to us anyway; Google takes a significant percentage of Play Store billing. The website is billed by us directly.

And, on the upside, our own billing is something we can definitively control, where the Play Store subscription stuff can be a bit.. wonky.

Anyway, thanks for the heads-up, we'll try to do more testing with the "multiple accounts" cases your talking about. Although, chances are, we won't be able to do anything about it anyway (going back to the "Google Wonky" issue).
