Dec 20, 2024 ScotiaKnight link
super random, i was turboing to dau in a subcap not looking where i was going.. an npc trident ahead of me hit the brakes and when i looked up i was right on top of it so i steered into its dock.. it jumped into dau from nyr simultaniously..

basically i got the docking message while going through the jump animation and got stuck in the docking message, had to force close my game to break

on or around 01:40 atlantic time, win10 etc

were also seeing docking messages while undocking from tridents at 0 speed, and i see some say they are seeing docking messages when their caps are near other caps docks.. and also sometimes when a cap is near a small dock..

general docking mayhem

Are all these various people patched up to date? There's a whole group of Linux-based players who tend to not update their game clients, and then report fixed issues as "current".

We'll check this out on Monday. Thanks.

> general docking mayhem

Yesterday, I noticed something new. As I was always docking with the Trident, I do not know if small class ships are also affected. The screen always flickered twice or something like that. Sorry, it was too fast so I cannot describe it better.

It was the same with the "docking" message when I was flying my capital ships before this issue was patched. It happened so quickly that I didn't realise it was a docking message until others reported it. Additionally, it wasn't just a message. I also noticed that it was negatively affecting the ship's speed.

It appears to be a new issue, possibly related to the previous "docking" message/screen bug, so I created a new thread.

which was fine when it was just a regular old message on the hud, but now this square takes over the screen and you lose controls.. which is fine for a millisecond, however i can think of scenarios to force this to happen to others..

demonstrated on a scripted client but tested otherwise. windows 10.

"how do you know someone uses linux?"

"dont worry.... they`ll tell you..."

lmfao.

As mentioned on the other thread, we have replicated this issue and fixed it for the next release. Thanks all.
