When I have automatic docking configured in the client settings and approach a dock, it occasionally displays "Docking," but nothing happens. I press the Activate key, and the ship docks as expected. This occurs at various stations, but it seems to happen more frequently at locations like Pelatus C-12. Could it be due to fog or lag?

For me, this occurs when I undock from something and try to re-dock too quickly. Either auto-dock has a cooldown (prevents in+out dock ports from getting you stuck) or the events that enable it are being delayed a bit, or something.

Since you mention Pel's conq station, I assume you're loading a capital vessel via shuttling? Try increasing the spacing between you and the station a bit.

That's odd. Automatic docking should be very fast now, we re-designed that some time ago. We'll take a look.

As always, it's super helpful to provide a specific date/time/sector/client-platform to give us some information to start with.

Apologies, I forgot to do so like in the other report. I'm unsure if I can find the exact time of the event(s), so I will report it on another occasion. It happened to me at maybe five times yesterday.

Luxen: I don't think I was particularly close to the station. However, I can try next time if that's the case.

I was actually parked rather close, as Luxen had mentioned. The XC flight from the parked ship to the dock always took about two seconds. I think that could be the cause.
