Not sure if this is able to be replicated on other platforms, but I have currently consistently done this on iOS. When going to Your PDA > ship, the FOV changes to be very zoomed in on the ship. Using zoom to temporarily change it fixes it.

This has actually been fixed on other platforms, and will be addressed in the next iOS app update. Sorry for the delay.
