Mission "Search and Rescue"
The mission "Search and Rescue" tells you to find a ship somewhere in the system, preferably in asteroid belts:
>The convoy lost contact with the trader in Jallik E-13, that would be a good place to begin your search. If you can't find them in forty-five minutes we will assume they have been destroyed and call off the operation. Good luck, Snib.
> Don't give up as additional assistance will be provided after half an hour.
> No sign of the trader here, Snib, time to move the search to another sector. Keep on looking for a drifting behemoth somewhere in this system and don't give up until you find them. Search the asteroid belts first, they make good landmarks for drifting ships.
>Well it's been forty-five minutes and no sign of the lost trader. Time to call off the search, Snib. Looks like the Void has claimed another soul.
I searched the entire system and couldn't find him, in particular he wasn't in any asteroid belt that didn't have an ion storm, so I assume he was hidden in some storm, making this the most unenjoyable mission yet (and there have been a few that make mining feel exciting in comparison).
We can argue whether the above is already a bug, but this part of the mission text certainly is, for the mission promises:
> Don't give up as additional assistance will be provided after half an hour.
Yet I went the full mind-blowing 45 minutes without ever hearing anything from the mission giver again. No sign of the promised assistance.
It then silently failed (that's another super annoying thing about the mission system btw - they never tell you when they end, you have to check if they're still active on your own)...
