i was in a group, i deployed from the leaders goliath and deshielded a ship after which the leader fired on the ship until it was nearly dead but we left them alive and moved on. they got the self defence flag.

over a period of the next hour the targets flag would expire, a few minutes later we jump and they would get it back.. i think its happened three times so far. keeps saying my crewmember attacked and they are free to retaliate. my whole group is within my view idling in empty space, theres been no attacks.

occurred and ongoing over a period between 5 and 6am game time.

i just received another notification nearly three and a half hours later.. 921 game time.. while sitting in dau L10 i got a self defence flag against an attacker from the previous battle.. ive been in the station for hours, they did not attack or otherwise do anything to me. they simply entered the sector i was in..

i see it mentions in-game time.. is it perhaps the user is logging out and logging in and im seeing the same original flag repeatedly?

I've seen this for my defense flag, I think you've got it. I see it when fighting the people that hop characters during an engagement.
