Previously, if you undocked with a capship and went into a turret same time you would become invisible, "bugged out", this got fixed (epic)

Now if you do it, your ship undocks, you go into a turret, and your ship floats away, killing the player, or anything like that will fix it and put you in a station on death, the problem is that you would be able to use a capship turret while not being inside your ship

Should be fixed now, as of 1.8.576 (tonight).
