the new update which adds a tractor beam to aid new players in scooping cargo in space

i have often found this drags the cargo and sometimes drags it into a space station structure when this happen to me i couldn't do anything to get my cargo back & it was lost forever

meaning i have to be very careful in which direction i scoop the cargo as the tractor beam drags the item in my general direction of travel or i have to fly at a high speed and hope for the best as it tends to only drag the cargo item at a lower speed

now i understand this i can and do change how and where i drop items

in manufacturing and trading we often trade items anything from low end capital ship parts to very high end capital ship parts this is always done close to a space station
i can see people losing some items and if i lost a very high end capital ship part MMCS DBHA i would be livid

an option to turn this off would help me and others that know of this but wouldn't do anything to help others unaware of this

you can use the command /toggletractor to toggle tractor beams on and off. or, I believe thats the command...

ok options / advanced / controls / keyboard - scroll to very bottom there is the option there to bind a key turn off and on tractor beam

If anyone ever loses an item this way, please report it immediately with a precise location, sector, time, and item type. and we will investigate and possibly return the item to you.
