~6:08 PDT this morning:

i killed the queen in a critical skirmish in odia c-11...
dock with my trident...
jump to the critical skirmish in odia c-7...
launch in my rag and it suddenly is missing one of its chaos..
just an empty port now...
docked and un-docked, logged out and back in...still gone :(

Okay.. this is a really time-consuming hole for us to go down, in terms of examining all of the logs and such.

Are you absolutely, positively sure that this rag wasn't perhaps purchased without a chaos for some reason? Or that you hadn't accidentally clicked on something and removed it?

Understand, we've never seen anyone have an equipped weapon "disappear" before, not in almost 20 years of operation.

Before I burn many hours of someone's time trying to debug this, how absolutely sure are you that this was actually a bug? Had you recently used this exact same Rag?

Okay, i didn't think much of this, and don't want you to have to spend an untoward amount of time, but i will have to say that, yes, undoubtedly, the Rag in question was equipped w/ 3 gems and 2 chaos in odia c-11 and was w/o 1 of those chaos in odia c-7...i logged in docked in my dent and only visited hive skirms...never went to a station...no chance or possible way to legit un-equip. I know that i had a full loadout in the previous sector b/c i easily dropped the queen's shields in a predictable way, yet, after i arrived in c-7 and stacked on the queen, her shields never went below 25-30% [yes, i stacked on the queen 5 times]...that is what made me discover that i was suddenly w/o one of my chaos. Plus, i only had one ship in the dent at the time, so there was no possible mix-up there.

To try to lend a small amount of accuracy to the timeslice, i know for a fact that i killed the queen in odia c-11 at 6:08am PDT, because that was the time in my sensor log.

Sorry this amounts to what sounds like a lot of work on the backend, but it did happen. [shrug]

I'm just trying to validate it as much as possible before prioritizing it for investigation.

We've had a whole series of things lately, where people reported "bugs", but it ended up being like.. "players misunderstood something" or "player didn't realize something", etc. Basically wild goose chases, that resulted in learnings about.. user-experience improvements that were needed, but no actual bugs.

If you're confident that this took place, we definitely want to figure out what happened. Thanks.

According to our logs, you only had one Chaos Swarm missile launcher equipped the entire time, including the previous day.
You had 1 Chaos Swarm Missile Launcher and 3 Gemini Homing Missiles equipped.
You purchased the Rag and addons on Tuesday morning ~8am Central (~6am Pacific) at Corvus Hold in Odia M-14. Only 1 chaos swarm addon was purchased and no other chaos addon was changed in your inventory, so you didn't attach one that was already in your inventory.
As additional evidence, your shots were always sets of 8 chaos missiles, all coming from the same addon.

So, this is exactly what I was concerned about. We've been seeing a lot of people making accidental errors of some kind or other, and then assuming it's a game bug.

We definitely appreciate bug reports, but please try and be absolutely sure before reporting.
