High Latency Detected bug
Posting here since i wasn't able to post in my old thread -
Today i killed Xanos ec-89 1 time in latos m7 , he was sent back in station then it resetted my position 2-3 times after i killed him.
Sometimes player are 800-1000 m away and they shoot - and my position gets reset ,
Felt like telling you , thanks for your time inc o/

That is the intended design of the system, as we described it at release. Someone firing on you will "turn the system on", so if you're experiencing a challenging network situation, that will cause you to start seeing position resets.

Again, the system will remain engaged for 30 seconds since the time of the last "shot". So, you could easily experience this, and it would be exactly as-intended.
A bug is not something you dislike, a bug is something behaving in a way other than intended.
So, please be sure you understand how the feature is supposed to work, before claiming something is wrong with it.

Hmm , so spending 100-150$ on the internet is the only way it seems to stop this ? But i still see some players who spend that much are getting their position reset still - well idk - it's just irritating.
There is no magical perfect connection. I keep explaining this over and over again.
It was also "irritating" when people kept triggering their own intentional disconnects, to make their ships jump around on purpose. I cannot reduce the chances of that, without also increasing the chances of people with genuinely bad connections also being affected. If someone is on the other side of the planet, from the server, there are going to be more opportunities for problems in that route.
But, this is not the "irritated" forum, or the complaint forum, this is the bugs forum, and there are no Bugs in this thread. Everything is working as intended.
We'll probably continue to tweak the system; but it's always going to be more likely to impact people who are further away, because there are more chances for packet loss.
