Avalon same team kills don’t result in a pilot being kicked from mission

If a pilot (Serco for this example) is a member of the Serco Deneb skirmish mission, they are able to use Avalons to kill their own team members with impunity. Any other weapon, including capital swarms and flares will kick members from a mission if they team kill twice.

This is potentially exploitative as a pilot could team kill (griefing style) with no negative results.

However, if this is intended behavior, then I will make a suggestion later that all ammo based weapons be exempt from team killing mission kick penalties. It is very easy to accidentally kill a npc with splash, as they fly around the battle with no regard for what players are doing with weapons.

Wouldn't this be seen as an AOE (Area of Effect) type damage vs. Directed Damage?

AOE damage is notoriously hard to manage and collateral damage or indirect damage may result from AOE type weaponry if people get too close to the target/target area.

Maybe it's not best to recommend ammo type weapons be exempted as directed damage is (generally) intentional.

Maybe it's AOE weapons that shouldn't count for team damage...

Damage from things like Mines (concussion, or otherwise) and splash effect (AOE) weapons would be exempted then.

Assuming, of course, Avalons aren't made to count as a result of your request.
