game crashes, all configs lost
Don't know how to exactly replicate this, but when the game crashes, I lose all joystick/keyboard mappings. I have to restore from a backup of wgaf.cfg
Maybe have a restore from last known good configuration from the options on the main login screen?

Well, that would be a "feature" that's never been needed before, or should ever be required.
Have you removed all plugins, running the game completely vanilla?
I assume this is the same device and platform as your other posted log? It would be more relevant to post that for this kind of bug, don't worry too much about perceived "errors" in the log. Some of that is innocuous stuff.
Is there anything unusual about your runtime environment? Are you running the game through the updater, and giving UAC permission when it asks for it, on startup?

Yes, the same environment as the previous post, this is what actually prompted me to go look at the error log resulting in seeingg the error messages at the top of the file in the first place. Normally I scroll past all the startup chatter at the top.
Yes, my client was bare of plugins.
Yes, through the updater with UAC permissions allowed.
It's actually happened multiple times, perhaps during a WGAF update? I don't know. It's was anomalous, so I thought I'd throw it out there as a bug and see if anyone else had casual or empirical knowledge of the issue as I can not intentionally recreate the issue.
Again, I don't have a lot of information to wrap around the event, other than to say that it happens occasionally when my game client crashes. I usually manually recreate my config, but in this case I had a backup WGAF file to restore from.

I've had my Config.ini returned to the default enough times that I actually keep a "good" copy on my desktop right next to a shortcut to the VO directory. That way when it gets screwed up it's a quick thing to fix.
I always though it was due to my habit of running multiple concurrent clients and then just closing them out the fast way, right click on the task bar icon for each and hit 'close window'. I never bothered to report it as I assumed I was breaking it by being stupid/lazy.
Though now that I think of it Remen, I think there used to be a plugin for switching between wgaf's. I look for it and If I find it I'll send you a link. Such a thing might be useful also if you sometimes play with different control setups and find things are conflicting if you try to set them all up in one WGAF.
Incarnate, if there is any info you would like from me on my particular cases that break this, or any data you would like me to gather related to this on my end, please let me know.

*facepalm* I meant config.ini... not WGAF.
Sorry for the confusion.

LNH, thanks for the feedback, and correction. I meant Config.ini not WGAF.
I was not running concurrent VO's during any of the loss inducing crashes.
I do occasionally switch between mouse (when travelling) and joystick (when at home.)

Remen are you running on windows? I have forgotten
Winderz 10 home.
You should be able to setup a batch script to copy over a good copy of your config.ini then run the game updater. I know it's not a real fix, but would at least be a decent stop gap solution.
Oh btw, setting the config.ini to read only has been working for me.
