Download server down?
It kind of seems like the download server is down — attempting to download the Mac client stalls after ~1.8MB reliably (from multiple computers in multiple places), and nobody's seeding on BitTorrent. :-(
and nobody's seeding on BitTorrent. :-(
I'm downloading it fine from 3 different seeds as I write this, and [when my PC is online] will soon host it alongside the Windows and Linux installers. Last I remember was this seed never initialized the download before, though, so... /shrug/

So, the direct HTTP download is back online. The cloud VM hit an interesting kernel bug that effectively killed it, while not going entirely "offline" enough to trigger automated notifications. It was offline for a few days. Thanks for the notice.
We'll be moving all platforms to our CDN eventually, we just haven't done so yet. Windows has the CDN available on the website, but Mac and Linux do not, as they were such a small percentage of download bandwidth.
I'll be interested to know if the torrent is.. working. I think it should, the tracker should be online, just our direct seed is not.

Someone started seeding shortly after I posted this thread. I downloaded the installer and am now seeding it myself.
FYI you might want to cut a new DMG... the Updater in the DMG is still a 32-bit binary with the old logo (from 1.8.258) and pops up a big scary warning on Mojave.

I don't think there is a way to not have a big scary warning on modern MacOS. They've gone to great lengths to essentially deprecate all things that don't come from their own store distribution system.
If I recall, part of the challenge with the change in signing mechanics was the newer install images we tried were actually worse, because of more restrictive xcode packaging requirements; while that old one was still "usable" as a self-updating installation.
We'll re-visit it, but.. MacOS stuff has gotten pretty weird.
