Jumping within 3000 in several areas

I'm sure there are more places it's happened to me. But I can't really remember all atm. Will get a more detailed list next time. I'm not sure if it can still happen in those sectors or not but I've done it enough to decide this is bug worthy to report. Hope it helps

Are you 3000m away from all LARGE objects? Smaller objects do not interfere.
It has more to do with how the distance is worked out, nothing to do with the "size" of objects. Small nut roids do indeed stop you jumping. The distance to jump is calculated by the centre of the closest "large" object, but the meter works it out by the "edge" of the closest object, giving a discrepancy of when it says you can jump, and when you actually can jump.
It is just the meter that is wrong, not the jump distance!

Probably what whistler said. And I'm sure I was within range of a few larger roids though
Or it could be an old bug that has been explained away several times.

I noticed that when turboing at full speed in a fast ship, you can jump when the meter is around 2800. But I think that must be an error as far as the distance reading.
