Either a bug or user error
I'm trying to play vendetta, when I open the app it attempts to download stuff for the game. The download won't run and I get this message:
Nevermind I guess I can't upload the picture but it says cannot resume download because external storage is unavailable. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong but my phone definitely doesn't have external storage.
Samsung S6 Edge Plus.
Edit:
If it helps I have 10gb of storage remaining on my phone.

To use images, upload them to a site like imgur.com, and then copy the link and put it between [ img] and [ /img] tags. [Remove the spaces]
Samsung S6 Edge Plus does not have an SD card, so that is a weird error. The 32GB version does have some memory issues. You might try clearing out any apps you don't want, moving photos to the cloud if you don't need them, clearing your cache, and checking any storage allocation settings. Then restart the phone.
Where did you install game from? Was it from Google Play Store? Seems this problem was actually fixed some time ago, and using 3rd party supplied .apk files can sometimes also introduce this error. If you cannot download it from Google play store, there is a link to the official .apk on this very website.

Also what ROM are you running? Is it the latest official ROM? If it is something like Linage they are unsupported. It is not weird for Android devices to refer to internal storage as external either, especially older devices. Some of them actually refer to the internal storage as /sdcard!

I did have the free version from Google play, I uninstalled it and bought the HD version, installed fine and is working. Sorry for the super late reply, busy life.
