Weird Mouse behavior while flying

May 18, 2018 TehRunner link
I'm experiencing weird mouse flight issues.
the aiming speed with mouse look off spontaneously decreases to the point when it's nearly impossible to turn a ship. As if the mouse "sticks"
The mouse behaves normally while in menus and outside of the game.
Playing on windows 10, recently installed the razer drivers to use a keypad.

edit:
This issue occurs only when mouse look is off

I've not heard about that before.
Can you try a different mouse or try uninstalling the razer drivers just to see if that change caused the problem?
When did you first start noticing the problem?

The problem appeared out of the blue with no changes I can think of leading up to it.
I've uninstalled all the drivers and see no changes. I'll attempt to re-install VO and see what happens.

I think your nose turns more slowly when you are accelerating, not as noticable with ML on. Also, you turn a bit faster with FA off.

Based on my other mouse complaint in the Windows subforum, I think this has to do with my high mouse DPI (I play on 4800dpi).
Also: when I have mouse look on there are no issues.
It's as if with mouse look off VO treats the mouse as a joystick and has a too low update frequency for mouse positions or displacements, resulting in lost position updates from the mouse.

I have no issues in other games, general usage, or while flying with mouselook on.

What kind of mouse do you have?

Does it still happen when you turn the DPI down to 1200 or something?

I installed the proper drivers for my Logitech G600 here at the office, and bumped it up to 8400dpi, and still had no problems in the game.

Understand: I believe you that a problem exists. I'm just trying to reproduce it, and dpi alone does not seem to be the factor.

We are releasing an update today that should fix this issue on Windows.
It stems from a low game-thread framerate but a high render-thread framerate, simulated by setting the framerate limiter to a low number like 12 fps.
