Deneb Battles Broken
Playing as a Serco, I fly into the Deneb Battle and am met at close range an Itani Trident Camping the Spawn. I die before I regain control of my ship from the jump. This is unplayable. I will not jump to different sectors first to avoid it. I will not play it in its broken state. It is broken. I don't care how much whining I get in response to this statement. The Deneb Battles are broken, not enjoyable and unplayable in their current state.
Fix it.
Fix it.

Seems you know how to avoid it but u won't...

'seems like you know how to avoid it but won't' he says sarcastically. seems like you are aware of it being a bug and are aware that you have to actually abuse the game to avoid it.

They don't "camp spawn points". There's a massive amount of space in the sector, and some relatively small probability that they may (randomly) end up in a position that is challenging to enemies jumping into the sector. It doesn't happen every time, or most of the time, or actually all that often. But it can happen.
I'm all for improving this, and the Bug report is useful. The real "fix" here is not actually the location of capital ships (which may always be a threat) but rather tweaking the invulnerability timing so you don't die before you have control. That's a general issue we've actually already been working on over the last few weeks.
However, your angsty self-righteous indignation has no place here.
This the Bugs forum: stick to the facts, leave the drama at the door.

Perhaps I spoke a bit defensively given what i'm used to seeing on 100. I presumed i would be ridiculed and attacked. I will try to be more appropriate in the future.
glad to know that you are actively working on this issue.
thank you for a quick response.
happy new year.
EDIT: and you're right. I was exactly what you said.
going through grief and depression with lifelong issues of mental and physical nonsense. in therapy. trying to keep myself in check. failed badly here. no more posting for me after midnight.

Historically the itani capital ships had been closer to the jump-in point in medium/large skirmishes and border battles (and this has been pointed out in various Deneb-related threads over the years). Being killed by an invulnerability timing miscalculation was never really the problem though - people disputed it more because of the tactical advantages of the reliable bombing ranges from the itani capships upon jump in.
Anyway the point is if you think you are getting insta-zapped when you enter conflicr sectors in deneb, you need to improve your skills -- it's very easy to avoid.
