Avalon explosion sound
I noticed recently that the explosion sound for a avalon is different (it sounds like a normal flare explosion). I know it doesnt sound like that. Is it a bug or did the devs do a change and forget to mention it. And if anyone else noticed it to please say so I know its not only me.
P.S: if its a bug can you move this forum to the bugs section?

second this observation
The Avalon didn't have any sound at all for the longest time. I don't remember what the current state of things is. Are you sure you aren't just surprised at it having a sound at all?
If you genuinely think it changed recently, we can check it out..

it didnt have a sound? I thought it was something like a short but extremely deep "pwoomf"!
Hmm. Yeah, that was the sound I recall adding for it, I think a year or so ago. Before that it didn't have any sound.
Weird if it's using the regular flare sound now.
I'll move this to Bugs.

please fix it, now avalons are less boom funny!
Yes, I'm aware that everyone is bitching about it in-game.
NO, IT WAS NOT INTENTIONAL. JUST LIKE LUXEN HAS BEEN SAYING.

If it could be fixed that'd be great, hate the idea of being afk and not hearing the avalons hit my ship also the sound of avalons is quite unique.
Yes, Punisher, I saw you complaining and cursing me for taking content away, on 100.
It's been fixed, already, in production. It was an accidental side effect of a client change in November to release one of the new ships. It was never intentional.
But, seriously, if I'm confronted with spending precious dev-time for hard-to-debug crashes that have been impacting people for weeks, versus a minor sound effect being wrong (there was an effect for it, so you would have heard something).. which do you really think is going to get our time?
The client crashing is a little more important, this audio issue was just recently reported, and there was also this thing called "Christmas" that happened this past week..

Sorry Incarnate, I was mistaken and aggitated at the time. I will be more open minded to bugs appearing. I also did not complain last week about it though as it was not an appropriate time, Happy new year.
Okay, just have a little patience. We were already working on this for release tonight. It's better to assume the best, than to assume the worst.
And it's always an appropriate time to report a Bug. It may just take us a little time to fix it :).
