Hiding in roids/other objects
I recently discovered that by holding the brake key down and then strafing down on top of any object (roid, capship, station etc.) your ship "sinks" into the object. You can get completely inside, and are not target-able while doing so. You won't even show up on radar! I took a short video, it's kinda cool getting inside stations :p

Old old old.. old bug, but yeah, should be something that defo gets looked at. I know Westie used to sneak busses inside roids to be able to spy on wormholes without being easily found. Do not think it can be fixed easily though, or I guess it already would have been!
Stopping people from getting inside asteroids might be hard to fix, but preventing them from staying there shouldn't be hard. Just iterate through each player ship once every 30 seconds or so. For each one, identify the nearest asteroid and check if the ship is inside that asteroid. If it is, destroy the ship (ideally after first relocating it to open space, so that the loot isn't trapped).
Yeah, or even just push them back outside of the object they are inside. All fixes considered posted since 2003. :) But really, since the "no mines inside NFZ" thing was added, this really is not so big of a problem. I mean, the spybot situation is the only possible abuse I can think of that gives an advantage, it is no longer possible to lmine the snot out of docking bays or stations anymore, and if a roid is zapping you, do not go near that roid!
I think cargo got changed a while ago to not drop inside of objects, that could be bad memory but I seem to recall this happening, so moving them out of the roid first isn't really needed if the asplode route is taken.
