Gear VR & steelseries stratus xl.
From time to time when playing, the game kicks into a barell roll. When I go to calibration sometimes the centre point has moved. Itself. Is there something I'm doing wrong or is it something you can fix..
It can happen at any point. Some times when cruising to am asteroid the ship kind of spins as if aligning itself with the target. It spins on both axis too, not just the right or left.
Pls. Help.

If you want, you could try sending us your config.ini from "before" and "after" you see the center point moving in the gamepad calibration. You can submit them via a support ticket, or email them to support at guildsoftware dot com if you prefer. You'd need a file explorer, like ES File Explorer, to get the files, and find them in:
/sdcard/Android/data/com.guildsoftware.vendettagearvr/files/
Config.ini is written on successful exit. So you would need to play and have the gamepad working properly, and then properly exit. Find the file, and send it.
Then play again, have the gamepad not work properly (barrel roll), then properly exit, find the file and send it. It'd be good to include the errors.log file from the same location, as well.
FYI, we've seen a number of cases with SteelSeries where the gamepad itself has a hardware problem and creates a barrel-roll situation. Basically, the left/right triggers are supposed to be analog inputs (the more you pull the trigger, the higher the ramping value, as opposed to an "on/off" switch), and we use them as such. This is common practice on Xbox and PS4 controllers, where this works properly. But sometimes the extents of the SteelSeries seem to not work correctly, or they get "stuck on", meaning the user ends up spinning in space. We've actually already re-bias the triggers down to a small minimum to reduce the chances of this happening.
Still, it would be good to see more data from your situation and make sure your case isn't a game bug.

It's not a game bug. Ive experienced it in other games yesterday. I just removed the bind in game.
