Please insert an SD Card?
So I was trying to start Vendetta Online for the first time, and immediately I came upon a problem.
I have a MicroSD card with around 50GBs of space left, and the phone is recognizing it, but the game isn't.
Is there some sort of config file for this or am I out of luck?

Unfortunately, there's no easy way to do that at this time. There are some third-party apps that can do that for you but the usually require the device to be unlocked or rooted.
It may be possible for us to add some custom config setting but the demand would have to be pretty high for us to spend time developing that feature.

I see...
I don't suppose you could recommend one of those root apps? (my phone is rooted)
Well, thanks for the reply either way.

I just googled for 'moving android app to sdcard' or something similar. I don't have any recommendations, sorry.
As of today, we've release an updated APK to the Play Store, which now uses Google's more recent "OBB" system for data storage.
As a result, on my Android 6.0.1 phone I was able to go into:
Settings -> Apps -> Vendetta Online -> Storage
..and tap "Change" under Storage used. I then moved the game to my SD card.
It seems to work fine from the SD card. It should only represent certain static assets.. other patches may be downloaded that supercede those assets eventually, but it at least moves ~332MB of data onto your SD card.

On my Samsung phone, moving to SD was impossible without a 3rd party app, even when I used an (unofficial) 6.0.1 rom. I used to use an app called GL to SD (I tried a LOT of apps) which did work fine. It is a free app, but is missing features like mount apps on boot unless you shell out a couple of dollars for it (meh, it's worth it imho). It did require root, and can sometimes cause a few issues if you forget to mount an app before launching it (like assets downloading again).
I've since moved on from that device and have the P8 from Huawei, and can now move apps to sd without a 3rd party app like Incarnate states above. You can even set the default storage to SD in 6.0.1, which moves all the data to the SD apart from the main executable, so it depends on how your device manufacturer deals with SD cards if you can use this method or not.

Yoda's post is a little misleading.. the instructions I gave are only widely compatible as of yesterday. We only just released the OBB system with the newest APK, on December 21st. Prior to that, it was a much larger dice-roll whether the app would work properly on SD, or could be moved at all.
But, he is correct that how you (or your device) moves the app is part of the basic issue. Vendetta Online needs to write to its own application files, and if those are moved to somewhere read-only, the game will break.
The newer OBB application storage system we released yesterday bascically takes most of the app graphics assets (332MB) and allows them to be read-only. So there's nothing wrong with moving that stuff to SD.
But if a system or third-party hacky app tries to get really aggressive about moving the rest of the VO application off of the main flash, that may be bad. All we can say is "attempt at your own risk". Personally, I would avoid any hacky third-party app methods, it's just not worth saving a few megs.
