Powercell bug after powercell fix
Since the last update with a powercell change, the system acts strange now:
when i enter a sector, it charges my cell, after 0.1-0.2s my cell is reset to turbo and breaks turbo, when i want to press turbo again, it wont work for aprox 0.5-1s. this wasnt the case before and is kinda annoying over time.
im using the 1st person jump in case that matters

Likewise. Just didn't get the time to post here. The whole Powercell thing has become a bit weird. I have observed 2 annoying scenarios that I will add it in here, as I hope it further helps the Devs fixing it.
As Xeha, I use first person jump.
1. When switching sectors/using a WH I enter the new sector normally. My Powercell starts charging, but suddenly is interrupted and pushed back to 0. Then like 1 or 2 seconds after I gain control of my ship, it actually starts charging. This delay really gets annoying after a while.
2. When launching from my Trident, my Powercell now seems "locked". While I could turbo immediately after gaining control of the ship or JUMP right away, I now have to "try" once or twice again for it to notice that I hit the turbo or pressed the activation key to jump. This can become super annoying when in a combat scenario that requires exact timing... Which I am often in.
Please fix it!

regarding 2) of sieger; i had that too. also, when you undock and want to jump (your at full energy), the game says you cannot jump because you need at least 25% of energy... weird one
Yes! That's actually what I meant to say. I cannot jump either. Will edit it in, thank you.
I really hate this died a few times undocking unable to turbo please make a better fix
Same problem.
When you're saying "1st person jump" do you mean the Simulated VR mode?
If that is the case, then the reason the power cell doesn't start recharging immediately so it matches the recharge rate of the players using Cinematic mode. The Simulated VR animation is ~1-2 seconds shorter than the Cinematic animation. The ship isn't supposed to start charging and then go back to zero, it's supposed to start at zero and stay there until the jump-in sequence is completed.
As for not being able to jump with full energy after launching from your trident, we're looking into that and will try to fix it ASAP.

Ok, the issue of not being able to jump out of a sector after launching from your own capship before your capship's power cell is recharged (Sieger's issue #2) has been hot-fixed.
starblazzz, you were unable to turbo after launching from your own capship?
+1 so much man so much

What I've noticed, in both the Sim VR mode, and in the first person cinematic mode is that the battery looks to be charging during the warp animation out, then resets to 0 as you enter a new sector. It now stays at 0 for about a second after you have "un warped" and are in control of your ship. This did not happen before your fix for the powercell sometimes not charging.
I'd say leave it as it is. Having to wait 1 extra second is not that bad compared to the bug that it fixed, but historically it started to charge "before" you had control of your ship, no matter what mode you were in. I would like to point out that this favours neither the attacker nor the person running away, we both have this delay now, and it kind of matches the delay I noticed with weapons being hot.

Yes from my Trident . In the delay I've been killed by attackers and friendly fire hehe
Did you launch while docked to your own capship or launch directly from piloting it?
@raybondo:
no, were not talking about simulated VR, just the "cinematic" 1st person jump.

Ok, I made a mistake regarding Simulated VR mode. I forgot that we added the first-person cinematics for non-VR. So replace my 'simulated vr cinematics' with 'first-person cinematics'.
Anyways, is anyone still having power cell issues when launching from a capship/station?

I coudlnt test with my dent, but it takes 1-2 seconds longer (WH) till the powercell starts charging now...
