disapearing alias/binds
You can alias 3 or 4 commands to say things and then have a bind that executes the 4 commands all at once.
I'm having alias / binds vanish on me.
I enter them in from the console, and they work just fine for the rest of that game session. then they vanish the next time i log into vendetta. Sometimes they hang around for a session or two before they go away. any ideas on where they are going? i do an /alias listing and they aren't there anymore. Oh it only seems to happen with the ones that are say_sector dependent, but not with all of the ones that are for sector chat. Not a big deal but it's kinda starting to irritate me since as far as i can tell it's random which ones dissapear.

When you exit Vendetta it stores them in wgaf.cfg.
If Vendetta crashes before it can save the aliases/binds, then they are lost.
You can put your aliases into a different file and then /load "filename" them when you enter the game to prevent them from possibly going away, I suppose.

hmm except i'm exiting the game normally and they are still dissapearing. i'll try storing them in a file. or maybe adding them directly to the wgaf file.
another question. Is there a way to link multiple text lines together in an alias? I have a pretty much basic set of instructions i use when I am starting to explain the game to newbies and a few of them take up multiple lines of text. I'd like to bind those instructions to 1 key. I created 2 alias's and tried to call the second one at the end of the first one, but it tells me "you can only chat 4 times per second" after calling the first alias. It does this even when i wait 3 or 4 seconds since typing and then call it. It whould only be 2 lines of text, so it ought to let me do it. (or does your anti-spam routine break a second down into 4 quarterseconds with only 1 chat allowed per each quartersecond?)

NM i'll just borrow your syntax from the adjustable zoom you posted and rebind my key at the end of each alias. it'll work just as well for my instructions.
raybondo the problem is he's running into the spam block, and hopefully there isn't any way around it.
