Yeah, but isn't that also the Server as well? I mean to get the update don't you access the same server as you do to actually play? Hence the Lag in the game from the server would also mean that the server was lagging during downloading and updating.

Ah, I didn't know that, I assumed that the Game Server and Update Server were the same and the Website server was separate, Hmm, did the update server get upgraded too?

who knows.. but hte update and game server are seporate, that's why you can still connect to the update server when the game's down

There are a few update servers. The game server, Majikthise, is one of them. The webserver, Vroomfondel, is indeed completely separate from the game server. I am unsure if it is an update server however. clarification please, FM/Devs?

Yes, they are both update servers. The update server mechanism hasn't changed at all, although I've noticed TCP connections from majikthise seem to be quite slow to certain destinations (such as our office) and very fast to others (such as my home Roadrunner).
