YEah ive experianced a similar thing, It only seems to happen when im quick through the menu system, and it reports my money and bounty as extremly high.

The money and bounty doesnt actually go that high, it just apears that way.
It cannot be given to any other player, and no other player can see the massive bounty. Just seems that the client doesnt get the information it needs, so it defaults to a massive ammount

I just upgraded to 3.3.9, and suddenly I have some absurd amount of cash in my lone character's account... somewhere in the range of 7 billion, I didn't actually write it down. The kicker is that I can't spend any of it, I can't even buy the cheapest thing listed at the station.

ok, just tried going back in, (it was 700million and change by the way), I hadn't tried it with the very cheapest item for sale before, just close... after buying the true cheapset item (just about the only thing I could afford with my true worth), it now shows my actual account balance.

I had this happen. The station said I had 700mil, but I really had 300 mil. I bought a gauss cannon and everything went back to normal.
