Repair turrets on trident repair
I am unsure if this is a bug or horrible design, but currently, if you cause enough damage to a capital ship, the turrets stop firing. If you repair the ship the turrets never resume firing.
Please fix this. Repair nanites would be able to repair a turret as effectively as they would a ship.
To leave this bug open allows people to neutralize a blockade without suffering faction repercussions.

I've never seen that happen. Which type of capitol ship was it?
Killing blockades never caused faction repercussions... did something change?

Is this on a PC capship? On an NPC ship it is possible to kill the turrets, and they will never be repaired once dead, but afaik on a PC trident the turrets cannot be destroyed and will never stop being able to be fired until the capship is dead.
On NPC capships it is possible to kill the turrets, and if you do they will never come back. Also they do not blockade in nation space, they do it in grey so the possibility of faction loss is 0 anyway. And in Deneb/skirmish situations this is advantageous, and again will never cause faction loss.
Are you playing the same game the rest of us are? Sorry to come across as pricky, but where does killing NPC capships cause faction loss?

It was my understanding that killing a blockade caused faction loss, but even if it does not, the bug still stands. If the NPC capship is fully repaired, the turrets should be repaired too.
Once a turret is destroyed on an NPC capship, it never returns. Is that what you're experiencing?
Yes. If a trident is repaired to 100%, the turrets should also receive the same repair.
Ah. I believe you can repair NPC turrets by explicitly shooting at the turrets themselves.
But otherwise how should the health be distributed? Repair the ship first and when that is full to send the repair nanites to the turrets automatically?

IMO, if the ship shows 100% repair, the turrets, as part of the ship, should also be repaired.
I'm sorry, I just do not see why this is important, imho these 2 fixes should be done first:
1) Make it possible to kill PC capship turrets, rendering them mostly harmless until they dock to repair.
2) Make the blockade fighter NPC's aggro when someone they hate comes into the sector.
Making mostly useless NPC capship turrets repairable is imho not worth the effort as most NPC capships don't stay alive long enough for it to matter.

@yoda
Obviously I was wrong about faction standing hit for killing blockade ships, I thought the same rule as for ctc bots apply. In reality it should. Just as your government knows that someone killed their ctc transport bots in grey - they should know that someone killed their capships in grey too.
You can kill PC trident turrets - wally killed one on mine while trying to kill my dent. After repairing the dent turret went alive gain.
Imho this should be possible for NPC capships too.
Connies and terradons stay alive for a long time and it matters.
Blockade fighters are a mockery now, they act like they are immovable targets made out of cardboard.
They should, at least, show some aggro when a hated/kos target comes within 1000 m of them.

You can, but only if they haven't been destroyed. They're also kinda hard to hit with repair guns since some of the capships have the turrets inside of their collision mesh. (Take a look at the upper aft turret on the Constellation for a good example) There's no repair module with a splash radius.

Destroyed turrets come back on player Tridents whenever the NPC -> PC transition happens. It's got nothing to do with the health of the ship.
