Random Wireframing, Explosion models etc.
After the most recent update, some weird stuff has been going on in the VO universe. Here are some things which I have discovered.
1. Mines attacking group members.
Now this one is even more confusing. Whilst farming SSS with a friend using lightning mines, my mines decided to start attacking my friend, despite the fact that we were in the same group and that my friend did not have hostile standing towards me. Even stranger was the fact that his mines did NOT attack me.
2. Arklan Guardian Gatling damage.
Again, whilst farming SSS with a Dent, the shield was taken down by 3 Arklan Guardians firing their gatling cannons. Correct me if I am wrong but this doesnt seem right.
I play on an Ipad mini 2 if thats any help (don't judge)
(Editted out redundant sections)

1. This is intended behavior. The radar uses a sweeping motion to detect the vertices of asteroids and displaying them using a wire-frame (hence why it seems like it's bouncing between wire-frame and normal)
2. That definitely sounds like a bug.
3. Capital Swarms have always had that stupid effect. It's really tacky and I wish they'd just upgrade it to the same one every other form of swarm uses.

I have only recently observed this?
Similarly for the Capital swarms, only recently observed the seeming lack of explosion effects

Each bug should be posted in a separate thread so that the devs can easily address each one. Also, editing your post to add new bugs is a good way to not have your report noticed.
The Wireframe thing is a Common sight in Pelatus C-12
Well since I didnt want to post 4 different threads, i thought reporting the bugs in the same thread would be the intelligent decision.
If ANY report about bugs is ignored, no matter how badly written, then I am very worried.
In that case Vlad and EP i guess the first bug is just my ignorance.

To reiterate, the "wireframe thing" is completely normal. I don't know why you only just noticed it; maybe it's a feature that they only recently enabled on your platform or something, but it has been a normal part of the PC experience for many years. It will also happen in ion storms if you have a storm radar equipped.

@Pizzasgood
Yeah, I have been to several fogged sectors and this has NEVER happened for me which is why i assumed it was a bug.

Bugs don't get ignored, they usually get lost or missed. The official way to report bugs is through the Support Ticket system.
As for the wireframe issue, if you can post a screenshot, it would help immensely.
What nations were you and your friend when he got attacked by your mines? And what sector were you in? Please create a support ticket with this info and the name of your friend so we can check on all the different variables that determine hostility.

Something I forgot to mention was that at one point, my mines triggered on me and killed me too...
Ahhh, that wireframe is your radar. It is actually visible for you because of the group radar sharing when you have a Trident in your group. Look up AWACS in the VO forums for more information.
OOOOOH thanks! :)
3 Arklans can easily down a Trident Type M shield if they all attack at once with full power cells.
Your mines won't trigger on you, your own Trident, or on group members, but your friend's mines will certainly trigger on the undocked Trident's turrets. The explosion of his mines after their power runs out would cause yours to explode if they're close. That blast could have helped with your shields too.
Ray, that effect always appears in the Pelatus fog sectors. AWACS is broken for NPC-controlled Tridents.

Better re-name this thread "JHX's ignorance" then.
ARF, that's the frst I recall hearing about AWACS being broken like that.
