Player 'Prosesis' is very emphatic in game about having an Alpha Badge, but when I call up her player profile page (target and press 'k') said badge does not show.

I could only see pvp, mining, trading and hive bot badges.

It is for account creation from that time, not character. It also appears on alts made even now, on such an account.

It was definitely character-based for a brief time recently, when I made a couple new characters. It was a bit of a surprise to not see the tags on those, but I figured it was a deliberate change to appease some whiny vet who couldn't get into his favorite guild. (Especially since I still had the tags on the older chars.)

Those characters are full-peacock badged up now, though, So either I am full crazy or something changed to fix the DRASTICALLY IMPORTANT BADGE ISSUE.

It was important and it was me!
