I am using a slightly modified version of dark_screen skin and since a patch a few years ago the radio buttons above the chat and the check box buttons in the options menu as well as the button beside my user name on the log in screen is now white. I lived with it for a while and also stopped playing for a long time. but now ive been playing again and i just spent about 2 hours trying to modify files and using files from the default skin pack to fix this without success. can someone look at this skin and tell me what is wrong?

Edit: I used the default "skin" skin pack provided by the devs with no alterations and still get the white buttons.

There are some images you need to rename. I think these are the ones.

1.) Change check to check_hires
2.)change check_bg to check_bg_hires
3.) change check_disabled to check_disabled_hires

that fixed the check boxes in the menu, the main login screen button and the buttons above the chat are still white.

edit: i changed the radio and radio_bg to add _hires to the end and that fixed the radio buttons above the chat. The only button that is still white it the drop down menu button on the login screen. If anyone knows the name of that button, please let me know. I can live with it though.

If you edited those files you may need to use the pngconverter program that Is located somewhere on these forums

Edit: i just copied another icon and named it arrow_down and it works, im assuming that was something new that was added that never existed before.

Yeah, it was a new icon they added when they introduced having the game store account names. As for the mission icon background, my best guess is hud_updateicon.png.

Worst case, here is a list of all the files in the skin I currently use, so you can comb through and see if any seem to be missing on yours. I don't know if all of them are actually used though, so there might be some extras.

thanks Pizza, i actually copied all the files from one skin where the mission icon worked into the other skin and stopped it from over-writing files and turns out the image was missing completely in the hud i was testing. it was hud_updateicon. Appreciate everyone's help. both my huds are working good now. Im using modified versions of light_screen and dark_screen and I believe the author is no longer updating them. I can post zip files of each if anyone wants to use them.
