Hello. I was logging out from my character Jack Holloway after getting blown up in the CtF match (a sudden change from my previous buggy invulnerability) and the game froze on the "are you sure" window. I'm on late-2009 iMac running OS X Mavericks, and I honestly can't remember the last time any program, even RAM-eaters like Maya or Photoshop, caused a complete freeze up on this computer. Anywho, I figured I should mention it. =)

On a related note, it would be nice if the game allowed my function keys to work so I could at least try to bail out to the dashboard instead of having to hard-restart.

Have you tried the Force Quit Hotkey? It's option+command+Esc. That will kill any full screen application.

On the cause of the freeze, ever since I got my new iMac last week, it's frozen or locked up quite a lot. I don't think it was related to the event, since that's all server side stuff.

/facepalm I was using control-alt-delete and command-alt-delete. I never have to use the force quit hotkeys on OS X and used the Windows-like version (I used to have a Bootcamp partition running 7, I guess the habit didn't die lol).

Oh well. At any rate the game still froze, so Bug noted =P Also, I can confirm that it didn't have anything to do with the event since after I got blown up I was bumped back to my home station, where I logged out from.
